With engagement season upon us, we wanted to share some of our favorite locations to take engagement photos!
Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort
Nestled in the beautiful Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, this hidden gem is our most frequented location for engagement photos, and for good reason. It has everything you’re looking for in a perfect photo location! Whether you’re a tree-lover, prefer a gorgeous water view, want to be surrounded by mountains and old buildings with character, OR all of the above, Shawnee is the place for you! Shawnee Inn is great year-round, but it really shines with the fall colors. It’s a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the drive.
Jacobsburg State Park
If you’re looking for a woodsy feel for your engagement session, you can’t go wrong with Jacobsburg State Park. Located near Wind Gap, PA in the Lehigh Valley, it offers beautiful trees, a babbling brook, and old stone buildings. The best part about this location is that everything is a walk away, no hiking necessary. So, pack your bug spray and bring your heels (or your hiking boots) to make your ideal engagement photos come true.
Downtown Easton
Easton is one of our favorite places to visit for photography or just for fun! In downtown Easton, interesting architecture is the star here. Brick walls, murals, and buildings, oh my! Easton has it all to give your photos an urban feel without it being too crowded to walk around and enjoy the session. The bank street annex, a summertime vine wall, and center square are some of our favorite locations within Easton but there is almost anything you can think of here if you’re willing to explore with us!
Lock Ridge Park and Furnace Museum
This is a classic photo location of the Lehigh Valley. A decommissioned iron ore furnace turned park offers interesting stone architecture, wood covered walkways and open fields. It can get a little crowded at times, but once you stake out your spot, the results are always beautiful. Fall is a great time for this area but it also shines in the spring and summer.
Downtown Bethlehem
Like Easton, Bethlehem gives you a downtown feel without the crowds of a big city. Bethlehem’s added charm is its historic area. Behind the Historic Bethlehem Hotel, there is a nice mix of nature and historic architecture. Unique bridges, buildings and streams give the place a lot of variety in a small area. If you’re looking for a mix of city and nature, this is a great location.
