5 Great Lehigh Valley and Poconos Engagement Photo Locations

With engagement season upon us, we wanted to share some of our favorite locations to take engagement photos!

Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort

Nestled in the beautiful Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, this hidden gem is our most frequented location for engagement photos, and for good reason. It has everything you’re looking for in a perfect photo location! Whether you’re a tree-lover, prefer a gorgeous water view, want to be surrounded by mountains and old buildings with character, OR all of the above, Shawnee is the place for you! Shawnee Inn is great year-round, but it really shines with the fall colors. It’s a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the drive.

Jacobsburg State Park

If you’re looking for a woodsy feel for your engagement session, you can’t go wrong with Jacobsburg State Park. Located near Wind Gap, PA in the Lehigh Valley, it offers beautiful trees, a babbling brook, and old stone buildings. The best part about this location is that everything is a walk away, no hiking necessary. So, pack your bug spray and bring your heels (or your hiking boots) to make your ideal engagement photos come true.

Downtown Easton

Easton is one of our favorite places to visit for photography or just for fun! In downtown Easton, interesting architecture is the star here. Brick walls, murals, and buildings, oh my! Easton has it all to give your photos an urban feel without it being too crowded to walk around and enjoy the session. The bank street annex, a summertime vine wall, and center square are some of our favorite locations within Easton but there is almost anything you can think of here if you’re willing to explore with us!

Lock Ridge Park and Furnace Museum

This is a classic photo location of the Lehigh Valley. A decommissioned iron ore furnace turned park offers interesting stone architecture, wood covered walkways and open fields. It can get a little crowded at times, but once you stake out your spot, the results are always beautiful. Fall is a great time for this area but it also shines in the spring and summer.

Downtown Bethlehem

Like Easton, Bethlehem gives you a downtown feel without the crowds of a big city. Bethlehem’s added charm is its historic area. Behind the Historic Bethlehem Hotel, there is a nice mix of nature and historic architecture. Unique bridges, buildings and streams give the place a lot of variety in a small area. If you’re looking for a mix of city and nature, this is a great location.

Brigalia’s Wedding Photographer: Jenna and Billy

For Jenna and Billy’s wedding, we traveled to Brigalia’s in Sicklerville, NJ. Their winter wonderland theme was executed beautifully, complete with probably my most favorite bridal shoes I’ve ever photographed. The night was wrapped up with a conga line to a HUGE room filled with tons of different desserts, and now I think all weddings should end this way. It was the best way to end such a fun day. Thank you Jenna and Billy for choosing us to capture your wedding :)

Renaissance Allentown Hotel Wedding Photographer: Jackie and Ricardo

Jackie and Ricardo were married at a small, intimate ceremony with close family and friends at the Renaissance hotel in Allentown, PA. The ceremony was short and sweet, and there was no bridal party, which gave us plenty of time to have an extended bride and groom portrait session (which we LOVE)!!!

It had rained all day, but the rain stopped just in time for us to get some beautiful outside photos! Once we finished the formal photos, it was time to have fun and dance to some great music :)

Thanks to Jackie and Ric for letting us be part of your special day!

Memorytown USA Wedding Photographer: Katie and Michael

Does anyone else love Star Wars? I know I do! So when Katie and Michael booked us for a “May the 4th” Star Wars themed wedding, we were excited! Memorytown USA provided a beautiful backdrop to a gorgeous wedding that included both lightsabers and a horse drawn carriage. Katie and Michael did a great job of mixing the elegant wedding elements with some fun “nerdy” touches.

Special thanks to Jackie at Dream Captures Photography for second shooting during Krista’s maternity leave!
